東南アジア最後の秘境と呼ばれるラオス。そのラオス北部の都市、ウドムサイから綴る日本人のブログ。 PMCという特産品（クズやシナというラオスでも稀少な産品を素材に使った製品など）を扱うショップで、ボランティアとして日々何かしらに奮闘しています。

What is ‘Oudomxay Cotton’?

The cotton we use as our products is organic cotton in Oudomxay. 
It is said that the cotton in the northern part of Laos is particularly fine and soft.
And it is picked and spun carefully by hand.
Moreover, in Oudomxay there still is a tradition of natural dyeing.

Yaboi is written ‘ຫຍ້າບ່ອຍ’ in Lao language.
Yaboi is called ‘Linden’ in English and ‘科 -shina-’ in Japanese.
The fiber is strong and has a natural flavor.

Kheuapiad is written ‘ເຄືອປຽດ’ in Lao language.
Kheuapiad is called ‘jungle vine’ in English and ‘葛 -Kuzu-’ in Japanese.
The fiber is strong and excellent.
